Privacy Choices

You can request a copy of the personal information associated with your account by writing to privacy@contactnearby.app from the email address associated with the account.

You can request an export of your data in a structured, commonly used format (JSON or CSV) by writing to privacy@contactnearby.app. The export is provided within a maximum of 30 days.

You can delete your account directly from the app: Profile → Settings → bottom of the page → “Delete my account”, then confirm. You can also request deletion by writing to privacy@contactnearby.app from the email address associated with the account.

Access to the account is disabled immediately. The profile, photos, messages, connections and location data are then permanently deleted or anonymized within 30 days. The following may be retained temporarily beyond that period: data required by a legal obligation (for example, an accounting obligation) and data needed for security, fraud prevention or the handling of an ongoing report or dispute.

Most profile information can be edited directly in the app. If some information is inaccurate or incomplete, you can also request that it be corrected by writing to privacy@contactnearby.app and specifying the information concerned.

In the app, you can, among other things:

• adjust the visibility of your profile to other users;
• manage location access from your device settings;
• turn notifications on or off;
• withdraw your consent to personalized advertising;
• block or report a user, content or behavior.
